A shirt can carry more than a design. It can carry a school’s pride, a musician’s identity, a neighborhood’s name, or a moment people want to remember.

Statement Silk Screen began in Philadelphia in 2009. The work collected here tells the story through the things that were made: collegiate hoodies, event shirts, music graphics, business apparel, and the artwork that gave each piece its own voice.

Look through the prints and you see Philadelphia woven into the collection — Drexel’s Earle Mack School of Law, Philadelphia International Records, Philly Chef Conference, and Philly Rising. Each design belongs to a different community. Together, they form part of Statement’s history.

MUSIC. COMMUNITY. IDENTITY.

Different names.
The same care.

The archive moves from record-label graphics to community organizations, from comedy-club apparel to shirts made for a conference. There are bold one-color marks, layered illustrations, and designs built to be recognized across a room.

That variety gives the Statement name its meaning here: helping an identity become something people can put on, carry, and share. The photographs preserve the finished pieces as well as the details — the lettering, the placement, the ink against the fabric.

A BRAND WITH A HISTORY

From Philadelphia roots
to a San Diego chapter.

The story began in Philadelphia. Later website records show a San Diego chapter, with the business listing a San Diego address in 2023. Across the archive, the same red Statement mark connects the years.

“Contract Printing Made Easy” was an earlier headline. “Perfection Is The Standard” became another familiar expression of the brand. This site brings those chapters together and lets the work tell the story.
